ADULT TAP is a form of dance characterized by using the sound of one’s tap shoes hitting the floor as a percussive instrument. This class focuses on rhythms and musicality. Common tap steps include the shuffle, shuffle ball change, flap, flap heel, cramp-roll, buffalo, pullbacks, wings, paradiddle, stomp, brushes, scuffs, riff to name a few.
ADULT BALLET is the foundation of all formal dance training and plays a vital role in the development of a dancer. Students start class at the barre where they warm up and progress to exercises across the floor. Ballet class helps to improve overall body alignment and posture, balance, strength, and flexibility. Students will learn classical ballet terminology while growing technically as a dancer.
