Jenny Gomez is from Davenport, IA and started dancing at the age of 7. Growing up Miss Jenny trained in the styles of tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, pom, hip hop, acro, and pointe at a dance studio in Davenport. Miss Jenny was a participant on her studio’s parade team and competition team. Miss Jenny attended many conventions and competitions where she received a variety of group and solo awards. In high school, Miss Jenny was a four-year member of the Davenport West Dance Team and competed at state and national competitions. In college, Miss Jenny was a member of the University of Iowa Dance Club which allowed her to perform at various events on campus and participate in their annual benefit show. Miss Jenny has also been able to dance in a Disney World parade and perform as the opening act for the Radio City Rockette’s Christmas Spectacular. In addition to her training, Miss Jenny also has many years of teaching experience. Miss Jenny was an assistant and lead teacher at a studio in Davenport for nine years. While there, Miss Jenny taught a variety of ages in the styles of tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, acro, and pom. Miss Jenny was also a captain for the University of Iowa Dance Club which gave her the opportunity to choreograph routines that were performed around campus and at the annual benefit show. Currently Miss Jenny is a teacher in the Iowa City Community School District. Miss Jenny is excited to start teaching at Debut and share her passion for dance with her students!
