Carrie Quast is honored to be a part of the Debut Staff. She is excited to share her 20+ years of experience of teaching and choreography with all the students at Debut. Carrie grew up training at a large studio in Minnesota and continued her training, while in Florida, at a studio ran by a former Broadway dancer. During high school, she was on her dance team and competed with her studio winning numerous awards. While in college, earning her degree in Elementary Education, she operated a Community Education Dance Program and taught dance to gymnasts. Since then, Carrie has been an elementary school teacher and owned and operated two dance studios for a total of 15 years. Carrie’s work has been recognized at several competitions in Florida and Minnesota by her many students placing in the top ten and receiving multiple judge’s choice awards. Her work has also been seen at School Plays, High School Dance Teams, and Flashmobs. Carrie has taught classes in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Musical Theater, Kick-Line/Poms, Jazz, Hip Hip, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Tumbling. But if she has to pick just one, Tap is her favorite. Carrie’s love for children and teaching will be seen as she passes on her love of dance to the students at Debut. Outside of teaching, Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, as well as, getting to explore and learn about Iowa.
